What payment methods do you accept?
I accept all major debit and credit cards as well as tap pay. But cash is the preferred method of payment. If you are looking to save a few bucks I do not charge tax for cash payments.
How much will my tattoo cost?
That ultimately depends on the size and detail of your tattoo design. Which will then determine how long it will take me to complete your tattoo. My hourly rate and the shop minimum is $150. So a half day (4 hours session) is $600 and a full day (8 hour session) is between $1200. Not including tax or tip.
Do you require a deposit to book an appointment?
All appointments require a NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT prior to booking! $50 (1hr tattoo) $150 (2-4hr tattoo) and $300( Full day/8hr tattoo). The deposit will go toward the final cost of your tattoo or will be used on your final session of a larger piece.
**ONLY ONCE I HAVE RECEIVED YOUR DEPOSIT RECEIPT WILL YOU BE OFFICIALLY BOOKED!**
Do you tattoo minors (Anyone under 18)?
I’m sorry but myself and the other artist @Blue Bird Tattoo do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18.
Can I use numbing cream?
You are more than welcome to use a numbing cream prior to get through your tattoo. But there are pros and cons to using them. Please email me to further discuss the risks, the applications process and my personal suggestions for on what brands to use.
Do I need a consultation for my tattoo?
I would be happy to have a consultation with you if you’d like. But they are more for large detailed pieces like arm/leg sleeves and back/chest pieces. All other tattoos (Especially simple designs like text or Pinterest tattoos) can easily be discussed via email.
Consults are done in person at Blue Bird Tattoo and do not require an appt. Please feel free to stop by the shop Tuesday-Friday 11-5pm.
Can I bring my friend or my child/baby with me to my appointment?
You are more than welcome to bring ONE person to your appointment. PLEASE DO NOT BRING A GROUP OF FRIENDS/FAMILY MEMBERS. Blue Bird tattoos is a small tattoo shop with limited space for anyone who is not being tattooed. Also having a large group of people accompany you to can be distracting to you as the client. Which can draw your focus away from sitting still for the tattoo, make you more anxious and can be confusing having “too many cooks in the kitchen”.
PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BABY/CHILD TO YOUR APPOINTMENT** Blue Bird Tattoo does not allow anyone under 13 to be present while you are getting tattooed. This is for their safety and to help you keep your focus on the sitting still for the tattoo. As much we love seeing adorable children they can be very disruptive and are a safety concern. So please make sure to arrange a babysitter for any children you may or may not have.
Do you do touch ups?
Yes, I do touch ups for free for the first 3-4 months from your original tattoo appointment. FINGERS, EARS, HANDS & FEET TATTOOS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FREE TOUCH UPS! As an industry wide standard, we tattoo artist do not guarantee them. This is because these are difficult areas to heal tattoos as they are constantly in use/motion while healing.
So there is a possibility that the tattoo will not last or will “fall out” during the 2-3 week healing process. Even if you follow all the after care instructions we provide you to perfection.
How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?
It can take any where from 2-3 weeks for a tattoo to heal, depending on how larger or detailed the tattoo is. The larger and more detailed the tattoo is the more damage is done to the skin so it will longer for the tattoo to heal.
Simpler tattoos (like line work only, text, fine line or Pinterest tattoos) can usually heal in 2 weeks flat. The average amount of time a tattoo takes to heal is 3 weeks. But if you are getting tattoo during the winter (dry skin season) or have certain health conditions (like auto immune or diabetes) a tattoo can some times take up to 4 weeks to fully heal.
What if I need to cancel/reschedule my appointment?

To Reschedule your appointment PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME DIRECTLY ASAP VIA EMIAL! **RESCHEDULING LESS THAN 24 HRS BEFORE AN APPT WILL REQUIRE A NEW DEPOSIT TO BE PAID!**
Appts that are rescheduled more than 24 hours before an appt will have their deposits carried over AS A ONE-TIME COURTESY.
Can I see my design before my appointment?
ALL TATTOO DESIGNS WILL BE SHOW TO YOUR ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT!
This is an industry standard. Please don’t request to see the design in advance. This is because I tattoo 10-6pm then go home and draw for the next work of tattoo designs. So I’m not drawing tattoo designs months or weeks in advance.
More often than not I am drawing your tattoo the night before or even the morning of your appointment.
What if I want to change my design?
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR DESIGN IN ANY WAY PRIOR TO YOUR APPT EMAIL ME ASAP. Any changes to your design may alter the length of the appt may require the appt to be rescheduled to a later date.
Do you do piercings?
No, Blue Bird Tattoos does not have a pierce on staff and I only do tattoos.
